About Captain Mommy: Part 1

I will tell you all about myself in two parts:

Part 1: A Captains Life.

As you might have read earlier, my name is Lindsey. Pretty simple human leading a pretty interesting life. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing in this role of Marriage and Motherhood. Here's the gist of my life in a nutshell.

This...is me.
As pictured here with Buckaroo #2.
(you'll meet him later)

SAHM to my exuberant, sneaky, squishy, chaotically hilarious little guys.
I was deemed "Captain Mommy" by my oldest in the analogy that I am the
"Captain Hook" to his "Peter Pan."

.......

So yeah, if that doesn't give you an idea of our relationship dynamic then feel free to take a more candid look into our lives together.

"The Quatermaster" i.e Josh

More commonly referred to as "the husband" for those of us who aren't savvy
with pirate lingo just yet.

We met in January 2008, married by January 2009, became 1st time parents in January 2010, and 2nd time parents in December 2011.
I guess you could say we do things at a faster pace.
(Or that we just have terrible time management skills.)

Most commonly referred to as "Daddy" around here,
He has a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Eats more calories per meal than the daily suggested value.
Burns them all my talking.

Pictured above with Buckaroo #1, who you get to meet now.

"E"

4 years old.
My first.
Sweet. Charming. Quick witted.
Has made it his personal mission to make trying to figure out parenting as easy as navigating a gauntlet in labyrinth.
Is smarter than me and He knows it.
You'll find out plenty about him throughout this Journey with me.
Trust.

"B"

2 years old.
What he lacks in grace he makes up for in personality.
There aren't many words that can accurately describe this boy.
I'm still not convinced he's entirely human at this point, however.
His hair compliments his personality better than anything else on this planet.
Has an imaginary "Frenemy" who's a duck and the very bane of his existence.
Also answers to "Dingy".

Sophie

Part-time Pit Bull
Full-time Clown.
Rescued from being shot and left to die alone in the Arizona desert.
Thankfully, we connected with the people who saved her
and now she can live her life like this...

In her natural state.

Poetry in motion.
